Concept Arts

So I have been working really hard on brushing up my concept work. Its nice to plan out what environments look like for my comic, it just adds a nice consistency to it, I think

Photography bits

I love taking the odd picture of Dublin, I really love the city in all its broken, junkie infested glory. Here's a few bits I took about this time last year

These were all taken in the Coombe region of Dublin, near where I was born. I lived there last summer, found it interesting to see where I come from.

This has to be my favourite shop in Dublin, I love reading all the signs, the red part of the shop is literally stuffed with old mattresses, you can't get in! the small sign over the door says "All 'enquires' next door"

Just to top it all off, its a common Dublin Junky, protesting at the Bus Driver's refusal to let him on
*wipes tear from eye* beautiful

More

These are just a few bits and bobs, bit more recent. Just a few ideas for comics that never happened

Ancient History

Not long ago, I headed back to my folk's house to take a look at all of my old art and sketchbooks.

I wanted to have a look back at the kind of things I used to be pretty much obsessed with as a teenager, and my need to get these things down on paper, as drawings, writings and comics.

Most of the themes and ideas I had as a kid have long left me today, but here's a selection of the stuff I found.

I'll be posting these in a couple of entries as there's so much, so here's the first load, all circa 2004

These are pictures of a 3d paper cut book I made at the end of my first year of college, thus begins an obsession with cityscapes X3

another 3d paper cut book, asiany mountain temple ^_^

this one here I had on my DA a while ago, but it was extremely low quality, all the detail and subtle colours were lost, this looks far better. here it is as i did it in a sketchbook

I like windas

to be continued! X3
